IBBFA Studio Accreditation

Signal to your clients that every barre instructor at your facility meets the highest professional credentialing standards.

IBBFA Studio Accreditation is available to facilities that require IBBFA certification for all barre instructors on staff. Accredited studios can display the IBBFA Approved Studio designation, are listed in the IBBFA directory, and gain access to the credential verification tool for streamlined hiring. Studio accreditation demonstrates a commitment to IBBFA's certification standards — including scope-of-practice training, credential requirements, and ongoing professional maintenance.

Benefits of Accreditation

What IBBFA Approved Studio status means for your business.

Client Confidence

The IBBFA Approved Studio badge tells clients that every instructor at your facility holds a verified, current credential with scope-of-practice training — a meaningful differentiator in a crowded market.

Reduced Liability

When every instructor is scope-of-practice trained, your studio's exposure to liability from improper modifications, contraindication failures, or scope violations is significantly reduced.

Streamlined Hiring

Access the IBBFA instructor directory for recruitment and use the verification tool to confirm credentials instantly during the hiring process.

Directory Listing

Accredited studios appear in the IBBFA directory — visible to prospective clients searching for studios with certified instructors in their area.

Consistent Quality

IBBFA's five credential tiers let you set clear expectations for different roles — CBI for group classes, Principal for lead instructors, specialties for niche formats.

Group Enrollment Pricing

Accredited studios receive group enrollment pricing when certifying new instructors through BarreCertification.com — making it cost-effective to credential your entire team.

Accreditation Requirements

Studio accreditation is designed for facilities committed to maintaining IBBFA certification as a hiring standard. Requirements ensure that the "IBBFA Approved" designation represents a genuine commitment to professional instruction.

Looking to hire individual IBBFA instructors without full accreditation? Visit our employers page for hiring guidance and the free verification tool.

  1. All barre instructors hold current IBBFA credentials — minimum CBI for all instructors teaching barre classes at your facility
  2. Active credential status verified — all instructor credentials must show "Active" status in the IBBFA verification registry
  3. Annual credential audit — studio agrees to verify instructor credentials annually and report any staffing changes
  4. Display IBBFA Approved badge — studio displays the IBBFA Approved Studio designation in facility and on website
  5. Scope-of-practice compliance — studio policies support instructors' scope-of-practice training (e.g., referral protocols for medical concerns)

Studio Accreditation FAQ

What's the difference between studio accreditation and hiring IBBFA instructors?
Any studio can hire IBBFA-certified instructors and verify their credentials at ibbfa.org/verify. Studio accreditation goes further — it's a formal designation indicating that all barre instructors at your facility hold current IBBFA credentials. Accredited studios receive directory listing, the Approved Studio badge, and group enrollment pricing.
Is there a fee for studio accreditation?
Contact us for current accreditation pricing. Fees vary based on the number of locations and instructors. Accredited studios also receive group enrollment pricing for new instructor certifications at BarreCertification.com.
What if one of our instructors' credentials lapses?
Studios are expected to monitor instructor credential status through the verification tool. If an instructor's status changes to Lapsed, the studio should work with the instructor to reactivate (by paying the $99/year maintenance fee) or arrange for a replacement. Accreditation is reviewed annually.
Can multi-location studios apply?
Yes. Multi-location studios can apply for accreditation across all locations. Each location must independently meet the credential requirements — all barre instructors at each location must hold current IBBFA credentials. Contact us for multi-location pricing.
